Silvia Grandi

SilviaSilvia is a monitoring and evaluation specialist with more than 8 years of experience, working for several multilateral and bilateral organizations, including UNICEF, UNFPA, UN Women, UNIFEM, the World Bank, the OECD, the Canadian International Development Agency, and INGOs.

She has planned, conducted and managed more than 15 large-scale program evaluations and organizational assessments in the international development sector, with a strong focus on gender equality and women’s empowerment. These have included (co)leading an evaluation of UN Women’s Partnership with the International Conference for the Great Lakes Region a Joint Evaluation of the UNFPA-UNICEF Joint Programme on Female Genital Mutilation/Cutting, and the Thematic Evaluation of UNIFEM Action to End Violence Against Women in the Central Africa Sub-Region.

Silvia was one of the principal evaluators on several assignments having a strong focus on WEE, including the ImpactReady evaluation of UN Women, mid- term evaluation of the World Bank Adolescent Girls Initiative and the final evaluation of the World Bank Gender Action Plan.
